Landscape Architect – Designer Application

Job Description:

Lemcke Landscape is looking for a motivated and talented landscape architect to join our team, and be a part of our award-winning landscape design firm in Indianapolis. The primary duties include preparation of landscape plans and presentation graphics, site visits, estimating and budgeting, project sales, construction drawings, and construction management. Projects can include landscapes, drainage, outdoor living spaces, pools, outdoor structures, and some commercial/ park designs.

Essential Functions:

Meet with clients to discuss projects and note their objectives and goals.
Complete site visits and perform an inventory and analysis of different project properties to note existing site conditions, drainage, site structures, and context.
Prepare site base maps and sketch design concepts.
Collaborate with design staff to prepare finished designs and presentation graphics.
Responsible for estimating projects, along with providing proposals for the client’s projects.
Responsible for design/ sales of residential projects.
Coordinate scheduling of projects with landscape and hardscape supervisors.
Provide construction drawings and on-site design input during project installations.
Coordinate with other contractors and our sub-contractors on various projects to ensure efficiency and high quality of work.
Project manage installations throughout their completion to the client’s satisfaction.
Maintain open communication with clients throughout the design and installation process.
Manages time effectively, is organized, and works on multiple projects simultaneously in order to meet project deadlines and client’s needs.

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture
0-5 years working in landscape design/ architect field
Experienced and proficient in autoCAD, photoshop, sketchup, and Microsoft Office
Motivated team player with a positive attitude
Strong time management skills
Excellent communication and organization

Compensation:

Full-Time: Base Salary: ($45,000-$65,000) based on working experience
Commission: bonus based on Monthly sales
5 paid holidays
401K with 3% Company match
The week between Christmas and New Year’s off and paid
72 hours of PTO
Office perks include use of company car, company cell phone, and company computer

Schedule:

Monday to Friday
7:30am-4:30pm
Saturdays only in peak season (spring and fall) or upon appointment
